I am admitted to practice law in NY and NJ, am a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, American Bankruptcy Institute and American Bar Association. It's All About You

If you are reading this page, chances are you have some debt problems. Whether it’s your mortgage, credit cards, taxes, student loans or a failing business, there are solutions. Please do not make the mistake of borrowing from your 401(k), selling your precious assets or throwing away your hard earned money before contacting a bankruptcy attorney. Remember, it’s about protecting yourself and getting a fresh start.
I'm totally on your side

My goal is to make sure the
harassing phone calls from collection agencies stop.

My goal is to
end the wage garnishment as soon as humanly possible.

My goal is to remove any liens against your bank accounts or home - to the extent allowable by law.

My goal is to remove your second (or third) mortgage - to the extent allowable by law.

When I ask my clients about their income and assets, it is because my goal is to find legal and ethical ways to
protect my client's assets. Believe it or not, filing for bankruptcy does not mean that your retirement account will get raided. It does not mean that you will automatically have to give up your house or your car. Especially in today's economy, most people have minimal (if any) equity in their homes or cars. If your mortgage is the same as, or more than the fair market value of your home then you don't have any equity in your home either. By providing me with details about your income and assets I can protect them. Without that information, I cannot possibly help you.
I care

I wish no one needed my services, because I wish no one was overwhelmed by debt. In fact, I sometimes conduct debt workshops where I speak publicly about how to live frugally and
manage debt. I try to teach people how to avoid becoming my client the same way a dentist teaches people how to brush their teeth to avoid getting cavities. I would love it if each of my clients called me today to say "Sorry, I don't need your services anymore because I was just offered a job that allows me to pay off my debt with ease."

I completely understand that you
don't want to file for bankruptcy and you would rather not deal with the fact that your home is in foreclosure. You are reading about these issues because you're not sure how you're going to make it. Make an appointment to talk to me. Maybe there's another way out. Every day I talk to people who are better off avoiding filing for bankruptcy, and I tell them so. Yes, I turn away more clients than I take. Why? Because my goal is to help people who are struggling in today's economy. Different solutions are appropriate for different people. I'm not in a race to see how many bankruptcy cases I could file each month, nor am I in a popularity contest. I try helping families in financial distress. The appropriate type of help is different for each situation, and I absolutely love what I do.

No one messes with my clients

If bankruptcy is appropriate for you, and we file a bankruptcy petition on your behalf,
creditors are no longer allowed to call you. They are not permitted to send you any letters, either. If they do, I take personal enjoyment out of suing them and making them pay. If you don't believe me, give me the opportunity to prove it.

I am here to offer solutions.

The best solution is where you can keep all of your assets and get rid of all of your debt.

Let me help you.

My law practice is focused on bankruptcy and foreclosure defense.

When I first began my law career (circa 1993), I focused on many different practice areas including personal injury, wills and estates, family law and contract law. However, the latest downturn in the economy made me realize that I could help families in distress by refocusing my efforts on bankruptcy, foreclosure defense, debt settlement, and other areas of the law impacting families hit hardest by the recession, unemployment and high credit card rates.

My legal focus is specifically targeted in these areas. Every one of my clients are struggling to put groceries on the table. Every one of my clients are worried about
keeping their home.

Bankruptcy law and foreclosure defense strategies change constantly. You need an attorney who lives and breathes these issues on a daily basis. You need an attorney whose primary network of peers are other bankruptcy and foreclosure defense attorneys. Believe it or not, we are a relatively tight-knit network of attorneys throughout the country. Yes, we stick together and we learn from each other whether we are in Bergen County, New Jersey; Brooklyn, New York, or San Diego, California. I keep up with the trends that are going on throughout this country on these issues because this is my passion, this is my focus and this is the best way that I can continue to maintain the level of expertise necessary to zealously represent my clients.

When you hire an attorney whose primary focus is
bankruptcy and foreclosure defense, you are tapping into a wide network of attorneys throughout the country who have a similar focus.

You don't get the same service or expertise when you reach out to the attorney who did your closing, the attorney who handled your automobile accident a few years ago or your nephew's neighbor, who says "Sure I could represent you. How hard could it be?"
